While the exact age of this symbol set is unknown, it draws upon familiar images that will be instantly recognizable to the unconscious mind. Over time, Witches’ Runes have gained a reputation as an easy-to-learn, no-frills method for divining the past, present, and future. The Witches Runes are different from the Elder Futhark Runes in that the Witches Runes are not an alphabet. The Witches Runes are instead a series of symbols that can be used in divination. There are different versions of the Witches Runes, one uses 13 symbols, the one discussed here uses 8 symbols. Cast the Witches Runes the same way you would the Runes.

Spread the rune cloth on the table in front of you, ready for the runes to lay upon it. There are various types of rune casting you can do; which are similar in idea to tarot layouts. Once you feel happy to progress, then have a go at some of the rune layouts and casts.
