Lavender is strewn into bonfires at Midsummer as an offering to the Gods and Goddesses. Attracts elves. Burn at Litha as an offering. The odor of lavender is conducive to long life and so should be smelled as often as possible.

How to use magickal Lavender herb:

  • Burn over charcoal to add to your rituals.
  • Place on altar with your candle.
  • Roll candle on herbs and burn candle.
  • Add to altar.
  • Add to sacred baths and natural beauty products.
  • Sew into charms, spell bags, dream pillows, and sachets.
  • Offer to deities, spirits and Fae.
  • Create your own elixirs and blends.

Medicinal: Flower water is a skin toner useful for speeding cell renewal and is an antiseptic for acne. Flower tea treats anxiety, headaches, flatulence, nausea, dizziness, and halitosis. The essential oil is a highly valued perfume and healer. It is antiseptic, mildly sedative, and painkilling. Apply to insect bites, and treats burns, sore throats and headaches.

Medicinal Preparation:

  • Herbal leaves or flowers: 1 tsp per cup of boiling water. Allow to infuse for 10 min. Strain and drink.
  • Herbal powders: 1 tsp per cup of boiling water
  • Seeds, bark, roots, stems, berries: 20 gr per 500ml of boiling water. Strain and drink.
